Suzy Johnson: the Cairn

Ollie became one of Suzy’s main supports when she developed her psychiatric condition some 20 years ago when he was 12.

Since then he has been involved in raising awareness of mental health issues and manages The Cairn accounts on Facebook, My Space, Bebo and Twitter and is involved with many music and football forums where he highlights mental health awareness.

jeanAs a former carer of mental illness, Jean Johnston writes, advises and gives talks on mental health awareness issues such as self harm, depression and the role of the carer. Having spent 18 months working with social websites such as Facebook, Bebo etc she is raising awareness of the problems and dangers which occur on the internet - including the codependency of the vulnerable and the high prevelence of suicide.

The Johnstons run workshops on mental health/illness issues.
